*waves* Hi all! Back from Izumicon with new art! See, I DO get stuff done from time to time
I really enjoyed drawing this one. I love all the fall colors and the flowing hair. If you see something really wrong, please let me know. I'm learning(ever slowly... but still!) to take good constructive criticism without getting upset. I know that the proportions on the body isn't quite right... but I'm getting there Materials used: Micron Pen Copic Markers Scrapbook paper(really cheap and lazy way to do back grounds.... thanks *tsu-chan79 !) NO digital manipulation Disclaimer: Orihime Inoue and Bleach are property of Kubo Tite. I'm only borrowing... I promise! |

"Look at that Fai coat! You rule, come here and hug my face!"
- Vic Mignogna, to me walking into his panel at A-Kon.
See me glomp Vic on YouTube!
This is where that crit comes in.
First, it's her right arm, it seems a bit too long. It needs to be shorter (to match the length of her left) and at the correct length her elbow should actually be raised higher with the elbow bent at the same 45 degree angle as you drawn above. (I've got to hand it to you, the left hand is actually proportional and if she's pulling the sleeve over her clenched fist, gripping the sleeve then I think you drew it right. Kudos~)
Secondly, her legs are really off and seem disconnected from her hips. When you draw, try to draw the body underneathe before you put the clothes overtop it.
Thirdly, practice drawing more folds and drapery. It'll improve the overall look of your people even further. I recommend this book in particular for it: "Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery" by Burne Hogarth ISBN 0-8230-158887-4 (Check it out if intrested~)
